Manuel Lapuente Díaz (born May 15, 1944) is a Mexican football coach and former player. He was recently working as head coach for Club América.

He played 13 matches for the Mexico national team, scoring 5 goals.
He coached Mexico at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and lead the squad to win the FIFA 1999 Confederations Cup. At the club level, he has coached Puebla F.C., Necaxa and Club América to Mexican league titles during his tenure as a manager. He formerly coaches Tigres of UANL Tigres. In 2010, he was reappointed manager of Club America after the departure of Jesus Ramirez.
